Inspired by the award-winning CDI 10, the DVDI10 is a high quality compact entertainment system that adds HD video to a globally successful mix of style and performance. In the DVDI10, a single unit provides you with superb wide bandwidth 2.1 channel audio, video in the highest definition, FM and optional DAB radio, state-of-the-art power amplification and iPod control.
Being a true multimedia component the DVDI10 allows you to enjoy all the widely distributed CD and DVD formats as well as MP3 files and even your digital photos in JPEG format from a CD-ROM. Furthermore, music enjoyed on the move can now be played through your 2.1 channel Hi-Fi system. When your iPod® is connected to the DVDI10 you can navigate through selections and play tracks using the DVDI10 remote control and front panel display. At the same time your iPod will automatically be recharged.
The DVDI10 offers a flexible range of inputs and outputs. Up to three audio sources can be added through stereo analogue inputs. A stereo ‘pre’ output provides connection to an external power amplifier, a stereo ‘tape’ output to a recorder and a mono ‘sub’ out to an active subwoofer. In addition to these, a 3.5mm combined headphone output and line input jack is found on the front panel. The DVDI10 includes an analogue to digital converter, so that line sources are available on the optical and coax digital outputs for connection to an external device like a digital surround processor.
The DVDI10’s highly specified Analog Devices video DAC combined with the latest digital video processing technologies offers a wide range of display options through no fewer than five video outputs, including HDMI, Component, Composite, S-Video and Scart. The HDMI output features up-scaling to Full HD 1080p via the well regarded Genesis FLI2300 video processor.
The DVDI10 offers a choice between FM and optional DAB tuner module. Forty FM and 10 DAB presets can be offered as well as high resolution 24 bit/196kHz conversion for DAB reproduction.
The high performance 2.1 channel amplifier system is powered by a newly improved version of the modular Class D technology used by the highly acclaimed Primare CDI10. Generating very little heat while being extremely efficient, this technology is perfectly suited to the DVDI10 compact design, and draws a naturally clear, rhythmic sound from music and film.
As with every other Primare component the DVDI 10 features data and IR inputs, and RS232 control capability: a precondition for the integration in specialised automated multi-room applications.
